Every accident is unwelcome. We know that sorting out the claim detail and making the initial report can be stressful and that is before you have even thought about repairing the damage. That is why we are here to help take those worries away.
If you are involved in an accident, and whether you are to blame or not:
We take care of...
- liaising with your insurance company and the other driver; just give us a call and we will do the rest
- the recovery of your damaged vehicle to an approved Accident Repair Centre and the full management of the repairs
- arranging to keep you mobile whilst your vehicle is being repaired
- managing all of the communication with all other parties
- in the case of an accident for which you are not to blame, arranging for the recovery of your uninsured losses - including your policy excess, hire charges, loss of earnings, out of pocket expenses and injury compensation
This is a new service provided by Accident Exchange in association with Balgores Leasing to assist you in the event of a road traffic accident - regardless of who is to blame.
Please keep your Balgores Leasing Accident Aftercare membership card in your wallet and should you be unfortunate enough to be involved in an accident, help is only a phone call away.
Terms and conditions
The service is designed to ease the burden of the logistics and legal concerns which arise from an accident, theft from your car or any other similar damage.
Subject to the terms detailed below, the service aims to provide assistance with the recovery of your vehicle to an approved Accident Repair Centre (should it be required) and to liaise with your insurance company to ensure that delays in the repair of your vehicle are minimised, keeping you informed of progress along the way.
However, should you or your insurance company not wish to use an approved Accident Repair Centre for repairs, then the service will not be available to you.
Vehicle Provision
In the event of a non-fault accident, we will provide a replacement vehicle whilst the original vehicle is in for repair. We will provide a replacement vehicle on a like-for-like basis for prestige marques and on a category equivalent basis for mainstream brands.
Recovery
In the event of an accident causing the immobilisation of your vehicle within the UK, we will arrange for the recovery of your vehicle to an approved Accident Repair Centre.
Should your vehicle remain mobile following an accident, we will arrange an appointment for you to visit an approved Accident Repair Centre and, if required, a convenient time for your vehicle to be repaired.
Claims Notification and Administration
We will take relevant details from you regarding the accident and liaise with your insurance company when required.
In the event of your vehicle being recovered by us, we will liaise with the approved Accident Repair Centre and your insurance company when required.
Uninsured Loss Recovery
Should it transpire that the accident is not your fault, we will pursue your claim. If in our opinion, you continue to have reasonable prospects of success, we will negotiate your uninsured losses.
Depending on your motor insurance policy, uninsured loss recovery might include, for example:
- policy excess
- cost of repairs to your own vehicle
- hire car charges
- out of pocket expenses
- loss of earnings
- personal injury
Exclusions to the above
We will not pay for any expenses incurred by you should you hold a third party fire and theft insurance policy or third party only motor insurance policy.
